Simple Chili Sauce
Very simple and healthy chili sauce recipe. Really quick to make, just boil the ingredients and blend.
Ingredients:
- fresh tomatoes, chopped
- 2 tablespoons of tomato purée
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 4-5 fresh chilli peppers (according to taste), chopped
- 1 crushed garlic clove
- 2 tablespoons wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- A pinch of salt if required
Directions:
- Place all the ingredients into a heavy pan of boil water
- simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring the mixture continuously
- Allow it to cool, then pour it into a food processor
- blend until smooth
- Return to the pan, and allow to simmer for up to half an hour or until it has reached the preferred consistency.
